The rising amount of fake news has become a very significant challenge in our world. We see that negative impact it causes, has no borders and it impacts all topics related to EU. One thing is clear – wise and active citizenship by each of us is very significant to combat the growing challenge of fake news!
SMARTeD project brings together nine active civic organisation across the Europe with an intention to raise awareness on the impact of the fake news on active citizenship at national and European level with focus on e-participation as well as to raise practical awareness of skillful participation through eDemocracy tools.
Project “Smart eDemocracy Against Fake News – SMARTeD” has been funded with the support of the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Union (ID: 601576) and co-funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
Now that the Islamabad police has also denied all the rumors circulating on social media, it is appropriate for us to admit that we're the victim of propaganda. The atmosphere of unrest and insecurity in the society should be eliminated.
